0 CVE-2026-18413 is a vulnerability in the NXP MCUX LPADC driver of the Zephyr project where the driver fails to check if the destination buffer is large enough for the ADC sampling sequence. This can lead to buffer overflows when user-mode threads with access to the LPADC device request more samples than the buffer can hold, causing kernel memory corruption. The flaw allows an attacker to write beyond the intended buffer limits, potentially enabling privilege escalation or denial-of-service. The issue affects Zephyr versions from 2.5.0 up to but not including 4.4.2. A fix has been implemented that adds proper buffer size validation before sampling starts.
