0 CVE-2026-18414 is a vulnerability in the Zephyr project's ADC driver for the ADI MAX32 device. The driver fails to correctly validate the buffer size for ADC sampling sequences, leading to a buffer overrun. This can cause kernel memory corruption when an unprivileged user-mode thread controls the ADC device, potentially allowing privilege escalation or denial of service. The issue affects Zephyr versions from 4.0.0 up to but not including 4.4.2. A fix has been implemented that properly validates the buffer size before sampling.
