CVE-2026-18679: CWE-295 Improper Certificate Validation in Kong Inc. Kong MeshCVE-2026-18679 0 CVE-2026-18679 is a vulnerability in Kong Inc.'s Kong Mesh where the data plane component (kuma-dp) disables TLS peer verification if a CA certificate is not provided by the operator. This causes the dataplane authentication token to be sent over an unverified connection, allowing an on-path attacker to intercept the token and impersonate the control plane, potentially injecting malicious configuration and taking control of the proxy.
