MediaTek chipsetCVE-2026-20478 0 CVE-2026-20478 is an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Audio HAL component of certain MediaTek chipsets. The issue is caused by a heap buffer overflow that can be triggered locally without user interaction. Exploitation requires user execution privileges and may result in a denial of service condition. The affected chipsets include MT2735, MT2737, MT6880, MT6890, MT6988, and MT6990. No official patch or remediation guidance has been provided yet.
