CVE-2026-2411: auth in zephyrproject zephyrCVE-2026-2411 0 CVE-2026-2411 is a medium severity vulnerability in the Zephyr Bluetooth host stack affecting versions 2.6.0 and later up to but not including 4.5.0. The issue arises because the Bluetooth GATT characteristic's security permissions are incorrectly checked against the characteristic declaration attribute rather than the characteristic value attribute, allowing unauthorized disclosure of protected characteristic values. This can lead to information disclosure or access control bypass when notifications or indications are sent over a link that has not met the required security level. There is no impact on memory safety or availability. The vulnerability requires a remote peer to connect and write to the Client Characteristic Configuration descriptor to trigger the exposure. A fix has been described but no official patch or vendor advisory is currently provided. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 08/01/2026, 12:06:41 UTC Added: 08/01/2026, 12:18:32 UTC |
