CVE-2026-25128 is a denial of service vulnerability in the fast-xml-parser npm library. The vulnerability arises from a RangeError triggered during numeric entity processing when parsing XML containing out-of-range entity code points (e.g., &#9999999; or &#xFFFFFF;). This causes an uncaught exception that crashes any application bundling the fast-xml-parser library and processing untrusted XML input. The impact is limited to the availability of the affected application; Red Hat host systems are not impacted. Red Hat has issued a security advisory (RHSA-2026:7110) recommending upgrading to RHACS 4.8.10, which includes security patches and bug fixes addressing this issue among others.

jsPDF is a library to generate PDFs in JavaScript. Prior to 4.2.0, user control of the first argument of the `addImage` method results in denial of service. If given the possibility to pass unsanitized image data or URLs to the `addImage` method, a user can provide a harmful GIF file that results in out of memory errors and denial of service. Harmful GIF files have large width and/or height entries in their headers, which lead to excessive memory allocation. Other affected methods are: `html`. The vulnerability has been fixed in jsPDF 4.2.0. As a workaround, sanitize image data or URLs before passing it to the addImage method or one of the other affected methods.

jsPDF versions prior to 4.2.0 contain a vulnerability (CWE-400, CWE-770) where the addImage and html methods accept unsanitized user input as their first argument. An attacker can exploit this by supplying a specially crafted GIF file with invalid width and height header values, causing the application to allocate excessive memory. This uncontrolled resource consumption results in denial of service via out-of-memory conditions and application crashes. The vulnerability has been addressed and fixed in version 4.2.0 of jsPDF. Workarounds include sanitizing or validating image data or URLs before use in the affected methods.
