0

CVE-2026-31217 is a critical arbitrary code execution vulnerability in the optimate project's neural_magic_training.py script. The vulnerability arises because the _load_model() function executes the contents of a module.py file from a user-supplied directory without validation or sanitization. This allows an attacker controlling the input directory to run arbitrary Python code in the context of the running process. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 9.8, indicating a high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently available, and no known exploits have been reported in the wild.
