The Short Comment Filter WordPress plugin up to version 2.2 contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the 'Minimum Count' settings field. This occurs due to lack of input sanitization and missing output escaping, allowing authenticated administrators to inject arbitrary scripts into the settings page. The vulnerability is particularly relevant in multisite WordPress setups or when the DISALLOW_UNFILTERED_HTML constant is set, restricting unfiltered HTML capabilities. Exploitation requires administrator-level privileges and no user interaction. The CVSS score is 4.4, indicating medium severity.
