The vulnerability arises because the sanitization function removes certain dangerous tags but does not remove <style> tags, allowing CSS injection. An attacker with mailbox settings access can inject CSS that exfiltrates CSRF tokens from other agents or admins viewing the mailbox, enabling privilege escalation.
