CVE-2026-40519: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') in NginxProxyManager nginx-proxy-managerCVE-2026-40519 0 Nginx Proxy Manager versions 2. 9. 14 through 2. 15. 1 contain an authenticated OS command injection vulnerability in the setupCertbotPlugins() function. Attackers with certificates:manage permission can inject arbitrary commands via the dns_provider_credentials field, which is unsafely interpolated into a shell command executed on backend restart. This allows remote code execution with elevated impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The vulnerability is tracked as CVE-2026-40519 with a CVSS 4. 0 score of 7. 7 (high severity).
