CVE-2026-4065 is a medium severity vulnerability in the Smart Slider 3 WordPress plugin (up to version 3.5.1.33) caused by missing authorization checks on multiple AJAX controller actions. Authenticated users with Contributor-level access or higher can exploit this flaw to enumerate slider metadata and create, modify, or delete image storage records by leveraging a nonce exposed on post editor pages. The vulnerability arises because the display_admin_ajax() method does not enforce capability checks, and some controller actions only validate nonces without verifying user permissions.
