The Easy Cart WordPress plugin contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in its 'add_to_cart' shortcode in all versions up to and including 1.8. This occurs because user-supplied shortcode attributes are sanitized with sanitize_text_field(), which does not escape double quotes, allowing injection of arbitrary event handlers. Authenticated users with Contributor-level access or higher can exploit this to inject malicious scripts that execute when other users view the affected pages.
