The Bread & Butter WordPress plugin is affected by a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the 'breadbutter-customevent-button' shortcode. This vulnerability arises from improper sanitization and escaping of the 'event' attribute, allowing authenticated users with Contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. These scripts execute when any user clicks the injected button on affected pages. The issue is present in all versions up to 8.2.0.25. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently available. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 04/22/2026, 07:45:29 UTC Added: 04/22/2026, 08:31:44 UTC |
