Submariner is a Kubernetes operator that enables cross-cluster connectivity for services and pods, implementing KEP-1645 (Multi-Cluster Services API). Oracle has released a Critical Security Patch Update (CSPU) in August 2026 addressing multiple vulnerabilities across a wide range of Oracle Database products and related software. The update includes 943 security patches targeting Oracle Database Server, Essbase, Autonomous Health Framework, Application Testing Suite, and many other Oracle product families. The vulnerabilities include issues classified under CWE-770, CWE-416, CWE-476, and CWE-863. Oracle strongly recommends applying these patches promptly to mitigate risks, as some vulnerabilities have been subject to attempted exploitation in the wild. The multicluster engine for Kubernetes provides the foundational components that are necessary for the centralized management of multiple Kubernetes-based clusters across data centers, public clouds, and private clouds. You can use the engine to create new Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform clusters or to bring existing Kubernetes-based clusters under management by importing them. After the clusters are managed, you can use the APIs that are provided by the engine to distribute configuration based on placement policy.
