CVE-2026-45725: CWE-73: External Control of File Name or Path in oscal-compass compliance-trestleCVE-2026-45725 0 CVE-2026-45725 is a high-severity vulnerability in the compliance-trestle library of the oscal-compass project. Prior to versions 3.12.3 and 4.0.3, the remote fetching cache mechanism (HTTPSFetcher and SFTPFetcher) improperly constructs local cache file paths from URL path components without sanitizing path traversal sequences. This allows an attacker to write arbitrary files outside the intended cache directory by referencing URLs with path traversal sequences. The issue is patched in versions 3.12.3 and 4.0.3.
