A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's microchip-core-qspi SPI controller was resolved. The coreQSPI IP supports only a single chip select controlled automatically by hardware, but when multiple devices use GPIOs for chip selects, the built-in chip select may be incorrectly activated, causing conflicts. This issue was unnoticed because affected boards used GPIO chip selects exclusively. The vulnerability has been addressed in Linux kernel updates. The CVSS score is 5.5 (medium severity).
