Paessler PRTG Network Monitor versions before 26.2.120.1449 contain a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This occurs when a request is made for a non-existent resource ending with ".htm", causing the web interface to return an HTTP 403 error page that improperly echoes the requested URL path without sanitization. An unauthenticated attacker can craft a malicious URL that, when visited by a user with an active PRTG session, executes arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the PRTG web interface. The session cookie is not HttpOnly, allowing potential session hijacking. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 5.1 (medium severity).
