The flaw exists in the course search functionality, where missing HTML encoding during DOM insertion allows authenticated Banner ERP users to inject malicious JavaScript payloads into fields such as faculty displayName, emailAddress, subjectDescription, or courseTitle. This vulnerability can be exploited via the unauthenticated getFacultyMeetingTimes API endpoint, leading to arbitrary script execution in the context of affected users.
