CVE-2026-48092: CWE-125: Out-of-bounds Read in mcmilk 7-ZipCVE-2026-48092 0 CVE-2026-48092 is a medium severity vulnerability affecting 32-bit builds of 7-Zip versions 9. 34 through 26. 00. It involves a heap memory disclosure caused by an integer overflow in the SquashFS ReadBlock function, allowing an attacker-controlled offset to bypass fragment bounds checks. This results in memcpy reading heap memory preceding the cache buffer into the extracted file. The issue does not affect 64-bit builds due to their larger integer size. Version 26. 01 of 7-Zip addresses this vulnerability with a patch. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 06/05/2026, 13:51:55 UTC Added: 06/05/2026, 14:48:41 UTC |
