0 FastNetMon Community Edition through version 1.2.9 contains a vulnerability in its BGP path attribute parsing logic. The software incorrectly handles the extended length flag for BGP attributes, causing it to misread the attribute length when it exceeds 255 bytes. This leads to truncation of the length field and subsequent out-of-bounds memory access. The issue arises because the code reads only one byte for the attribute length instead of two as required by RFC 4271. This vulnerability can cause cascading parse failures and potential memory corruption. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 05/26/2026, 00:00:00 UTC Added: 05/26/2026, 15:47:21 UTC |
