0 CVE-2026-48686 is a critical stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in FastNetMon Community Edition up to version 1.2.9. It occurs in the BGP NLRI decoder due to improper validation of the prefix_bit_length field, allowing an attacker to cause a buffer overflow on the stack. This can lead to arbitrary code execution. The vulnerability also causes undefined behavior due to invalid bit shifts when processing malformed BGP packets.
