CVE-2026-48982: CWE-362: Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition') in mcdope pam_usbCVE-2026-48982 0 pam_usb versions prior to 0.9.2 contain a race condition vulnerability in the handling of one-time pad file updates. The temporary file used during updates is created without the O_EXCL flag, allowing concurrent processes to overwrite each other's writes. This can cause the one-time pad to diverge from expected values, potentially leading to authentication failures or pad reuse. The issue is fixed in version 0.9.2.
