CVE-2026-49973: Missing Authentication for Critical Function in nesquena hermes-webuiCVE-2026-49973 0 Hermes WebUI versions prior to 0.51.358 have an improper access control vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to hijack the initial setup process. By submitting the _set_password parameter to the settings API endpoint during the first-run setup window, attackers can set an arbitrary password hash, obtain a valid session cookie, and lock out legitimate users. This vulnerability affects versions before 0.51.358 and has a critical severity rating with a CVSS score of 9.2.
