CVE-2026-50228 is a vulnerability in Acer NitroSense V5 software (up to version 5.2.63) where an unauthenticated local attacker can connect to an exposed Electron DevTools endpoint on localhost TCP port 9993. This exposure allows execution of JavaScript in the privileged application context, leading to arbitrary code execution. The vulnerability arises because Chromium remote debugging is enabled in the production application, which is unintended. The CVSS score is 6.1, indicating a medium severity risk.
