CVE-2026-50544: CWE-379: Creation of Temporary File in Directory with Insecure Permissions in NortheBridge luminalshineCVE-2026-50544 0 CVE-2026-50544 is a medium severity vulnerability in NortheBridge's luminalshine game stream host. It involves the creation of a temporary file with insecure permissions in the Windows directory C:\ProgramData\LuminalShine\config\apps.json. The file is created by the SYSTEM service, but default Windows permissions prevent writable access by standard users, mitigating the canonical elevation of privilege on a default install. Version 26.05.0-rc4 includes a patch for this issue. A workaround involves using default discretionary access control lists (DACLs) for the ProgramData directory.
