A vulnerability in the SQLite Session Extension used in certain Red Hat Hardened Images RPMs allows a local attacker to supply a malformed changeset blob to functions that merge changesets, potentially causing adjacent memory to be disclosed. This leads to information disclosure. The Session Extension is optional and not enabled in all Red Hat SQLite builds. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and early 9 z-streams do not include this extension and are not affected. No fix has yet been released for affected builds.

The vulnerability (CVE-2026-50813) exists in the SQLite Session Extension within some Red Hat Hardened Images RPMs. A local attacker can exploit this by providing a malformed changeset blob to the merge functions, which may cause a small amount of adjacent memory to be disclosed, resulting in information disclosure.
