It allows a compromised renderer process to copy any file readable by the application to an attacker-chosen writable location, potentially exposing sensitive data or overwriting files. The issue arises from improper validation of file paths in the downloadSubtitleFile utility. This vulnerability is fixed in version 2.5.0.
