A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's SELinux component involved incorrect auditing of permission checks due to improper caching of audit vectors. This caused some permission checks, such as directory write operations following cached directory search checks, to not be audited correctly. The issue has been resolved by fixing the avdcache auditing logic to recompute audit vectors properly based on current permissions and distinguish denied versus allowed cases.
