A vulnerability in the Linux kernel SELinux component involved incorrect auditing of permission checks due to improper caching of audit vectors. This caused some permission checks, such as directory write operations following cached directory search checks, to go unaudited. The issue has been resolved by correcting the audit caching mechanism to properly distinguish denied versus allowed cases and recompute audit vectors as needed.
