CVE-2026-53597: CWE-94: Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') in microsoft promptyCVE-2026-53597 0 CVE-2026-53597 is a high-severity code injection vulnerability in Microsoft Prompty, a markdown file format for LLM prompts. Versions from 2.0.0-alpha.1 up to but not including 2.0.0-beta.3 of the @prompty/core TypeScript loader improperly used the gray-matter library without overriding executable JavaScript frontmatter engines. This allowed an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript code during prompt loading via a crafted .prompty file with ---js frontmatter. The issue is fixed starting in version 2.0.0-beta.3.
