CVE-2026-53606: CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') in apostrophecms sanitize-htmlCVE-2026-53606 0 ApostropheCMS's sanitize-html package versions prior to 2.17.5 have a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability due to improper filtering of dangerous URI schemes in certain HTML attributes. The default configuration only applies URI scheme restrictions to a limited set of attributes, missing others that accept URIs. This allows malicious javascript: URIs to bypass sanitization when those attributes are allowed, enabling XSS attacks. Version 2.17.5 addresses this issue.
