CVE-2026-53693 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the MISP bsimvis component up to version 0.2.0. The issue arises from improper neutralization of input during web page generation, where tag names, collection names, entity identifiers, cluster names, and tag metadata are injected into HTML, attributes, JavaScript event handlers, and CSS without proper escaping. This allows an attacker who can create or influence stored tag or metadata values to inject malicious JavaScript that executes in other users' browsers when viewing affected pages. The vulnerability has a medium severity with a CVSS score of 6.9. No official patch or remediation is currently indicated.
