A flaw was found in GStreamer's WavPack audio decoder in gst-plugins-good. (CVE-2026-53705)CVE-2026-53705 0 A heap buffer overflow vulnerability exists in GStreamer's WavPack audio decoder within the gst-plugins-good package. The flaw arises from an integer overflow during buffer size calculation, leading to a small heap allocation followed by out-of-bounds writes. This affects both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. An attacker could exploit this by convincing a user to open a specially crafted WavPack audio file, potentially causing application crashes or arbitrary code execution. Red Hat has released security updates addressing this issue for Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 8 and 10.
