AirSane versions prior to 0.4.12 contain a vulnerability in their custom HTTP server that allows remote unauthenticated attackers to cause a denial of service via memory exhaustion. The flaw arises from improper handling of the Content-Length header in HTTP POST requests, where the value is passed unchecked to a string resize function, leading to excessive memory allocation and process crash. Non-numeric Content-Length values also cause undefined behavior due to lack of error handling. Version 0.4.12 includes a patch for this issue.
