Nimiq core-rs-albatross versions prior to 1.6.0 contain a vulnerability where a malicious state-sync peer can cause a syncing node to crash by sending a crafted TrieChunk proof with duplicate keys. This triggers an uncaught exception due to unwrapped None values during proof verification. The crash causes a transient panic as the node restarts and resynchronizes. The issue is fixed in version 1.6.0. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 09/14/2026, 15:30:51 UTC Added: 09/14/2026, 15:47:16 UTC |
