CVE-2026-55642: CWE-306: Missing Authentication for Critical Function in t8y2 dbxCVE-2026-55642 0 CVE-2026-55642 is a critical vulnerability in the t8y2 dbx cross-platform database client prior to version 0.5.51. The vulnerability arises when the DBX_PASSWORD environment variable is unset and no stored password exists, causing the authentication middleware to bypass authentication for protected routes. This allows unauthenticated network attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the /api/connection/connect and /api/query/execute endpoints, potentially leading to data disclosure, modification, or destruction. The desktop Tauri application is not affected as it binds only to the loopback interface. The issue is fixed in version 0.5.51.
