CVE-2026-55655: Improper Restriction of Communication Channel to Intended Endpoints in Red Hat Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10CVE-2026-55655
0

CVE-2026-55655 is a vulnerability in OpenSSH affecting Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 that allows a local unprivileged attacker to hijack client-side X11 forwarding connections. The attacker can pre-bind the preferred abstract X socket name when X11 forwarding is enabled and a local UNIX-domain X socket is used. This can lead to compromise of the confidentiality of forwarded X11 traffic, including sensitive window contents and input, and may allow limited manipulation of the forwarded session.
