CVE-2026-56015: CWE-125 Out-of-bounds Read in TPODER Net::IP::LPMCVE-2026-56015
0

Net::IP::LPM versions through 1.10 for Perl contain a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability caused by an unbounded prefix length in the add() function. This occurs when the prefix length exceeds the valid address width for IPv4 or IPv6, leading to reading memory beyond the allocated buffer during trie construction. The out-of-bounds read is bounded by the prefix length stored as an unsigned char, limiting the read to at most 32 bytes past the buffer. This issue can cause process aborts under memory safety tools but does not expose out-of-bounds data through the module's API.
