The vulnerability involves improper isolation in the SandboxExecutor network-isolated mode, where only invalid proxy environment variables are set without establishing a true OS-level network boundary. This allows commands that ignore these proxy settings to open direct network connections, potentially accessing localhost, internal services, cloud metadata, or external hosts.
