CVE-2026-5743: CWE-79 Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') in gallerycreator SimpLy GalleryCVE-2026-5743
0

The SimpLy Gallery Block & Lightbox plugin for WordPress contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in all versions up to and including 3.3.3.2. The issue arises from improper sanitization of the sliderMaxHeight block attribute, allowing authenticated users with Author-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. This occurs because the sanitization function fails to remove unquoted event handlers, enabling script injection that executes when a user views the affected page. The vulnerability has a medium severity with a CVSS score of 6.4.
