It involves missing authentication for critical functions in inbound-mail handlers, allowing an external email to resume a privileged AI agent session with elevated permissions. This leads to indirect prompt injection with attacker-controlled email fields embedded verbatim into the agent's prompt, potentially enabling unauthorized actions under the operator's OAuth identity. Fixed versions are 0.2.39 for @agenticmail/claudecode, 0.1.33 for @agenticmail/codex, 0.9.43 for @agenticmail/core, and 0.5.71 for @agenticmail/openclaw.
