Red Hat Update Infrastructure (RHUI) container images are based on the latest RHUI RPM packages and the ubi9 or ubi9-init base images. This release updates to the latest version. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/09/2026, 14:32:19 UTC Added: 08/21/2026, 14:22:19 UTC |
0 Red Hat Discovery, also known as Discovery, is an inspection and reporting tool that finds, identifies, and reports environment data, or facts, such as the number of physical and virtual systems on a network, their operating systems, and relevant configuration data stored within them. Discovery also identifies and reports more detailed facts for some versions of key Red Hat packages and products that it finds in the network. 0 A denial-of-service and resource exhaustion vulnerability exists within the `GDBus` component of GLib. The `gdbusauth` authentication mechanism fails to enforce proper length limitations on data lines read from a client. An unauthenticated local or remote attacker can exploit this lack of input validation by sending excessively long streams of data, causing the application to consume massive amounts of system memory and CPU, potentially leading to a crash or system hang. A buffer over-read vulnerability exists in GLib's g_io_channel_read_line_backend() function when a custom line terminator longer than one byte is used. This flaw can cause memcmp to read beyond the allocated GString buffer, potentially leading to minor information disclosure of up to 7 bytes or a denial of service if the over-read crosses a memory page boundary. The issue affects GLib versions prior to 2.70.1. A security update addressing this vulnerability is available from Red Hat. An off-by-one error in the gvs_tuple_is_normal function of GLib's gvariant-serialiser.c file causes an out-of-bounds read of one byte. This flaw can lead to minor information disclosure and denial of service if the read crosses a page boundary. The vulnerability affects GLib versions from 2.68.0 up to but not including 2.70.1. A fix is available and has been issued by Red Hat. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/30/2026, 15:30:44 UTC Added: 08/17/2026, 16:14:21 UTC |
0 A flaw was found in GLib. A buffer over-read can occur in g_io_channel_read_line_backend() in the giochannel.c file when a custom line terminator with a length greater than one is set, causing memcmp to read past the GString buffer. This vulnerability can cause a minor information disclosure of 7 bytes or a denial of service when the buffer over-read crosses a page boundary. 0 GLib provides the core application building blocks for libraries and applications written in C. It provides the core object system used in GNOME, the main loop implementation, and a large set of utility functions for strings and common data structures. Security Fix(es): * glib: GLib: Buffer underflow in GVariant parser leads to heap corruption (CVE-2025-14087) * glib: Integer Overflow in GLib GIO Attribute Escaping Causes Heap Buffer Overflow (CVE-2025-14512) For more details about the security issue(s), including the impact, a CVSS score, acknowledgments, and other related information, refer to the CVE page(s) listed in the References section. 0 A flaw was found in GLib (Gnome Lib). This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause heap corruption, leading to a denial of service or potential code execution via a buffer-underflow in the GVariant parser when processing maliciously crafted input strings.
