The Insights proxy Container is used by the Insights proxy product RPM and serves as an intermediary between cystomer systems in disconnected networks, air-gapped systems or systems with no outside connections and Insights. A flaw was found in GLib. A state confusion issue exists in g_dbus_node_info_new_for_xml() in the gio/gdbusintrospection.c file when processing malformed D-Bus introspection XML, specifically with a <node> element nested within other elements like <method>, <signal>, <property> or <arg>. This issue can cause an unsigned integer overflow and lead to an out-of-bounds read, resulting in a denial of service.

An off-by-one error in the gvs_tuple_is_normal function of GLib's gvariant-serialiser.c file causes an out-of-bounds read of one byte. This flaw can lead to minor information disclosure and denial of service if the read crosses a page boundary. The vulnerability affects GLib versions from 2.68.0 up to but not including 2.70.1. A fix is available and has been issued by Red Hat.
