CVE-2026-58494: CWE-281: Improper Preservation of Permissions in bytecodealliance wasmtimeCVE-2026-58494 0 Wasmtime is a WebAssembly runtime with a vulnerability in versions prior to 24.0.11, 36.0.12, 45.0.3, and 46.0.1. The issue involves improper preservation of permissions during hard-link creation and renaming in wasmtime-wasi, where directory permissions are checked but file permissions on source and destination preopens are not matched. This allows a WASI guest with read-only source file capability to overwrite host files exposed as read-only through wasip1, wasip2, or wasip3 filesystem interfaces.
