0 zbateson/mail-mime-parser versions prior to 3.0.6 and between 4.0.0 and before 4.0.2 are vulnerable to CRLF injection via attachment filenames. This vulnerability allows attacker-controlled carriage-return and line-feed characters in attachment filenames to inject additional MIME headers, potentially enabling header injection attacks such as forging Bcc headers. The flaw arises because filenames are interpolated into Content-Type and Content-Disposition headers without sanitization. Versions 3.0.6 and 4.0.2 include patches that fix this issue. Users of older versions should upgrade or sanitize filenames by stripping CR and LF characters before reuse.
