0 code16 Sharp versions prior to 9.22.5 contain a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the rich-text editor. This occurs because the HTML sanitizer allows the iframe 'srcdoc' attribute, which browsers decode in a way that enables execution of stored JavaScript. An authenticated user with permission to edit can exploit this to run malicious scripts when other users view the content. The vulnerability can lead to session hijacking, unauthorized actions, account takeover, privilege escalation, or disclosure of administrative data. Version 9.22.5 fixes this by removing 'srcdoc' from allowed iframe attributes. Applications unable to upgrade should manually sanitize Editor field content and remove 'srcdoc' attributes as a workaround.
