CVE-2026-62377: CWE-617: Reachable Assertion in strukturag libheifCVE-2026-62377 0 A reachable assertion vulnerability exists in strukturag libheif versions 1.23.0 and earlier. When processing a crafted HEIF sequence via heif_context_read_from_memory(), the context may end up with no registered sequence tracks, causing a crash when heif_context_get_track(ctx, 0) is called. In assert-enabled builds, this triggers an abort due to an assertion failure. In release builds, it leads to undefined behavior and typically a crash due to dereferencing an empty map. This issue is fixed in version 1.23.1. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 08/18/2026, 21:22:29 UTC Added: 08/18/2026, 21:35:07 UTC |
