CVE-2026-62987 is an authentication bypass vulnerability in fabiolb's fabio HTTP(S) and TCP router versions 1.6.6 through 1.7.1. The issue arises because a fix for a previous vulnerability did not protect operator-configured trust headers such as ClientIPHeader, TLSHeader, and RequestID. This allows unauthenticated clients to spoof or remove these headers before requests reach backend services, potentially impacting backend authorization and auditing.
