LMDeploy versions through 0.14.0 contain a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the _load_http_url function of the connection.py media handler. The vulnerability arises because the private-IP guard only validates the original URL and does not re-validate hosts after HTTP redirects. This allows an unauthenticated attacker to submit a crafted image_url to the chat completions endpoint that redirects to internal or cloud metadata endpoints, potentially exposing sensitive internal service content.
