0 A security update for the SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP7 RT kernel addresses multiple security vulnerabilities across various kernel components, including hardware monitoring, Bluetooth, SCSI, networking, tracing, and more. These fixes resolve issues such as null pointer dereferences, memory leaks, use-after-free, out-of-bounds reads/writes, race conditions, and other kernel-level bugs. The update mitigates a broad range of potential security risks by correcting these defects. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 10/13/2026, 11:52:05 UTC Added: 10/17/2026, 22:21:09 UTC |
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's SCSI FCoE driver was resolved that allowed an unauthenticated Layer 2 peer on the FCoE control VLAN to cause a denial of service. The flaw involved improper handling of FIP descriptors with zero length, which could cause an infinite loop and hang the controller. This issue affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 7.0.0-28.28 and related builds. A patch is available and included in recent Linux kernel updates distributed by Ubuntu.
